Foundation and location
The Defenders of the Crown have been founded long before the alliance system was introduced to Lord Of Ultima by Boemel and ghost17. Their first conflict was fought against Gravos and Tito, acquiring meanwhile Levenbrech for their alliance. After seeing, that Gravos and Tito are equal enemies, a pact has been signed and both players have joined the alliance. After alliance system introduction, the alliance has been formed officially and is one of the oldest alliances on World 1. The alliance was spread on continent 12 and continent 23 with several outposts on other continents and was ranked 2nd in total rankings for some time.
Leaders of the alliance
The alliance is led by ghost17 who is solely responsible for all his members’ acts. Furthermore the alliance has a three men council which can veto the decisions of the leader at every time. Only the most loyal and trustful players are able to become High Councilers.
Wars
The alliance has fought many wars until now. After a long enduring war with the Legacy alliance, there were long discussions about continuing this war which finally ended in a non-aggression pact. Some weeks later, the alliances merged and are now the dominating power of continent 12. The merge also included the NorthWestAlliance.
Current recruiting status
The alliance is invite-only. There is no chance to get in without reference.

2 millions points
On April 7th, 2010 the alliance reached the two million points mark and thus is ranked on the 3rd place on World 1 Beta. Average points by member: 28.700 points.
Alliance merge with “The_Circle”
On May 4th, 2010 the alliance has been put into idle status with ghost17 resigning from leadership. After a short discussion between his successors, the most powerful players decided to join the alliance “The_Circle” making it the most powerful alliance in the game. By May 6th, 2010 “The_Circle” is ranked #1 with 6.836.781 points, 74 members and 1.035 cities. The Defenders of the Crown will stop exist as an alliance name by May 31st, 2010. The idea of loyality and brotherhood however will still exist in the souls of the former members.

Defenders of Crown is primarily based on Continent 12, and was founded by Ghost17. Once ranked the #2 Alliance, Defenders of Crown was without a doubt at one time one of the most influential alliances in the game.
Unfortunately people have to move on, and a shift in priorities lead many including Ghost17 to go inactive and / or retire. Power was passed on very quickly to Amigmamin, then Magnosian and Ohmwrecker, with then an ongoing merge into “The Circle” alliance.
DotC may rise again, but if not, we wish the best to The Circle in their victory.
